News and Master Class in Madrid

Filming of Fox TV Pilot, Masterwork, begins next week in Prague. We’re all hoping that it will go to series and will be shot here. Cross fingers. It will mean lots of work in Prague. Yay!

I had a wonderful class in Paris, thanks to Rosy Allary and Jean-Christophe Luccesi.

Synopsis: A bronze statue of Solome is stolen from a Prague museum. FBI and MI-5 agents follow a trail of clues that takes them around the globe to recover the valuable artwork.

For any African American actors who are willing to work as locals in Prague, please see The Casting Scene website. You can view sides and record yourself on a webcam and I’ll view the casting. I am not accepting submission from white actors who live outside of Prague at the moment. 

Sorry, girls, no roles for females. We’ll have to write our own film, but that’s a subject for another time.

Study Meisner Technique in Glasgow

THE ACTORS BOTHY is delighted to announce a 5 day Meisner workshop with Impulse Theatre company’s Artistic Director, Scott Williams. 
Sun 10 May- Thurs 14 May, 09.
The famous Technique as it is taught at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York, whose alumni include Robert Duvall, Sidney Pollack, and David Mamet. This off-shoot of Stanisalvsky’s method, created by Sanford Meisner, uses three basic exercises to get at the core definition of acting: ‘acting is living truthfully under a given set of circumstances.”
